Behind The Scenes
History
The company was formed because of the growing demand for online video content. Video on the web is, if you think about it, a pretty recent phenomena. To put it in perspective, YouTube, the grand daddy of all video hosting sites, was only formed in February 2005, and it’s early inception saw, although sometimes funny, very poor quality, home made videos as the norm. Nowadays, as much as 3 out of every 4 internet users watch online video
Since the explosion of broadband and improved video coding and streaming technology, anyone with their own website is now able to host their own videos. A video is still the best way of communicating your ideas in an engaging way.
Who are we?
Airbubble Media was started by experienced Director Max Newson who, over the last 8 years, previously worked as a freelance TV Producer / Director. Companies he has worked for include BBC, ITV, Endemol, Tiger Aspect (you’ve probably seen something he’s made and didn’t even know it). His first short film was about an orange (YouTube Link). It starred Max… his cat… and an orange. Probably still his best work!
